Co-Parenting Through Separation and Divorce
Fall/Winter 2003

In conjunction with the Families In Transition
children’s program, "My Family Is Changing", parents may
attend a program called "Co-Parenting Through Separation
and Divorce". Parents are able to choose from a series of workshops
that will address their particular situations. The primary goal
of this program is to help parents better understand and support their
children’s feelings and needs through the different phases of
separation and divorce. Parents are validated in exploring
their own feelings and needs as they adjust to the
newness of co-parenting. In addition, they learn methods to
communicate with their children about difficult topics while
maintaining a close and loving relationship.
